CM Revanth Questions Why KCR not Meeting People
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has lambasted former chief minister and opposition leader K Chandrashekar Rao, questioning that why he is not meeting the people.
"If KCR has really love for the people, why is he not coming among the people? If the people are really in trouble, why can't he come out from his farmhouse and fight for them," the Chief Minister asked.
On the occasion of the completion of one- year Congress rule in Telangana, Revanth Reddy participated in the Praja Palana Vijayotsavam celebrations at the Arts College Grounds in Hanumukonda on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said," KCR should learn from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Even if the Congress party did not get power three times at the Centre, Rahul Gandhi is still among the people. Why is KCR not fulfilling his responsibility as the main opposition leader,"
Revanth Reddy asked KCR to come for a debate on the development of Telangana during the tenure of Congress and BRS governments and said that the government was ready to conduct the Assembly session whenever KCR would come for the discussion.
The Chief Minister alleged that the BRS government made Telangana a debt-ridden State, but the current Congress government was reconstructing the State without having corruption.
"The Congress government has spent Rs18,000 crore on loan waiver within six months. However, some farmers having the agriculture loan below Rs2 lakh are not availed due to some technical reasons. As promised, we will waive off all the loans soon," he announced.
Coming down heavily on Union Minister and BJP Telangana president Kishan Reddy for his double standard on the development, the Chief Minister said that Kishan Reddy has supported the beautification of Sabarmati River in Gujarat, but the same person is now opposing the beautification of Musi River in Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister further promised that Warangal would be developed as a benchmark for North Telangana in the days to come.
